Dr. Stephane Lenoski is an Exercise Physiologist, Family Doctor and Sports Medicine Physician in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is the first ever practicing Exercise Physiologist/Family Doctor/Sports Medicine Doctor in Canada. He has an extensive sports background, including 4 years in the Western Hockey League, 3 years as a CIS Academic All-Canadian and as a defenseman for Team Canada at the 2009 World University Games, in Harbin, China. Currently, he is the Co-Chair of the First Five Years of Practice Manitoba Chapter. He is a board member of the Manitoba College of Family Physicians and is Vice-Chair of the Doctors Manitoba Wellness Committee. He has published articles in the area of concussion and physician wellness. He is also a mentor in the Doctors Manitoba Mentorship Program. He is passionate about exercise literacy and the prevention of chronic diseases. He is determined to bridge the gap between healthcare professionals and exercise providers and he is Co-Founder of The Winnipeg Weight Loss Clinic. He is also part of the Canadian Exercise is Medicine Working Group directed at implementing exercise prescription curriculums in Canadian Medical Schools. He is a preceptor at Legacy Sports Medicine in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he regularly supervises medical students and residents as part of their residency training. He is currently in the process of completing a Masters in Medical Education from the University of Dundee, UK. He lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
